This full day of snorkeling is all about fun, sun, and exploring the underwater world of the Caribbean Sea.
Only 13 miles east off the coast of Placencia Village, Laughing Bird Caye National Park is one of the most popular island destinations for adventurers that want to see the vast array of wildlife in the Caribbean Sea. Once the breeding grounds of the Laughing Gull, the Caribbean’s seagull, Laughing Bird Caye is a long, narrow island residing on an elongated ridge of reef known as a faro, also called a shelf atoll, and is popular for its abundance of fish, coral, birds, string rays, sharks and more. In 1981 the island was declared a protected area, so that its diverse marine habitat would remain in pristine condition, and in 1991 was declared a national park.
Spend the day on Laughing Bird Caye, exploring the island, seeing the birds, and enjoy two snorkeling sessions. We’ll also have a nice picnic on its coconut-lined beaches.
Snorkeling gear, park fees and lunch are included.
